HVILINA’s newly unveiled L&MR MECHANICAL limited collection draws inspiration from the 1830 inauguration of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway in the UK. The collection comprises two mechanical references that are both housed in 39.2 mm-sized stainless cases. The ROCKET version stars a sleek, high-shine polished finish and is accompanied by a black leather strap with vivid red lining. Meanwhile, the PHOENIX timepiece features a matte-finished and darkly-hued coating that blends and complements its watch dial. A small window between the 2 and 3 o’clock marks also offers a glimpse of the watch’s inner workings.
The watch case boasts a unique cut-out effect that nods to the structure of railway tracks. Turning over to the open case back, a graphic imprint depicting the original steam-power trains, along with the date of the railway’s inauguration can be spotted.
Adding to its industrial appeal, the time-tellers come with a special Hvilina-winder key, perfectly crafted for compatibility with the crown that’s perched atop the case. Inside the L&MR MECHANICAL watches beast the new Miyota 9029 premium automatic movement, complete with a water resistance of 50 meters.
Limited to 200 pieces per variant, the duo of watches is priced at 2,190zł (approximately $544 USD) and is currently open for pre-ordering via HVILINA’s official website. During the pre-order period, the time-tellers are offered with a 25% discount. The promotion will no longer be available once the collection officially releases in October.
