Description

Cyberpunk works bring up not only the challenges of the relationship between humans and modern technology but also such topics as kitsch, inequality and human influence on the environment. All this makes this genre deep and self-sufficient, despite its youth.

Distinguishing characteristics of the cyberpunk style are the use of such materials as glass, metal, leather and the choice of futuristic and rough shapes. This is what the NOMBRO collection is like. The hefty complex case, designed by our engineers and designers and inspired by the genre's philosophy, is the hallmark of the collection. Moreover, the sapphire crystal over the dial protects against small scratches.

The watch is equipped with a reliable Japanese hybrid movement, the EPSON PX85A Hybrid Automatic (Seiko Group), featuring 7 ruby jewels. A hybrid movement is a modern class of watch mechanism that combines the autonomy of mechanical watches with the precision of quartz watches. This effect is achieved through the use of three types of energy: mechanical, which charges the power source like an automatic mechanical watch (from wrist movements); electromagnetic, which converts mechanical energy into electrical energy; and electrical, which acts on the quartz crystal (like in quartz watches).

The use of the automatic winding principle in the EPSON Hybrid Automatic addresses the need for battery replacement found in quartz movements, while the quartz crystal ensures significantly higher accuracy compared to traditional mechanical watches (-10+30 seconds per day for mechanical movements versus -20+20 seconds per month for the EPSON Hybrid Automatic).

The reliability of this technology is backed by several decades of development and research, starting with the introduction of the first mechanism of this kind by Seiko in the late 1980s, and followed by three decades of successful operation.

The power reserve of the mechanism without recharging is about 6 months. The power source charges through wearing and using the NOMBRO HYBRID watch. The mechanism does not require battery replacement. To check the power reserve, you can press a button located on the side of the watch case (a special tool is included for convenience). The charge level is indicated by the accelerated movement of the second hand. This mechanism fully embodies the philosophy of the NOMBRO collection.

Nocturnal urban landscapes and a large amount of artificial neon light prevail in this genre's style. The reference to these prevailing features lies in the design of the dial and the display of the model. The vertical stripes on the dial symbolize urban highways whereas the illumination of the display and superluminova arrows will allow you to navigate through nights comfortably. Additionally, the updated NOMBRO HYBRID models feature a 24-hour subdial and a fourth GMT hand for tracking time in a second time zone. The watches also come with a calendar function.

The satin-finished case back is engraved, with the central part made of tempered tinted glass with printed details. The case back also features an engraving. The emblem highlights one of the key advantages of the mechanism: exceptional autonomy, without the need for battery replacement or daily winding.

Engineers at HVILINA designed a special steel bracelet for the NOMRO HYBRID models. The bracelet has a quick-release mechanism and is engraved on the front and inner sides of the butterfly clasp.

The collection is limited, with only 350 pieces of each model being produced. The model names are inspired by music genres associated with the cyberpunk aesthetic. The box design also reflects the genre's aesthetics.
